Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox born December 25 of 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother and Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox went to Lennox's Royal Academy of Music, London during the 1970s. She studied the harpsichord as well as the flautist piano for 3 years. The money she earned came from the student allowance, and relied off on a part-time job to supplement her budget. Lennox made the decision to alter her profession after she became dissatisfied by her lack of skill in contrast to the other Royal Academy students. Lennox began her career as an instrument player with the group Dragons Playground. She quit the group prior to their appearance in I.T.V's talents program New Faces. Between 1977 and 1980 she sang in The Tourists. A British pop group. It was here that she made friends with Dave Stewart and together they created The duo Eurythmics. Lennox was working on her own debut album Diva. The album was released in 1993. The album had a tremendous success both commercially as well as critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album debuted on October 31, 2014. The C.D. Lennox compiled her top soul jazz blues tracks from the time of her childhood. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four tracks that she improvised for piano, which Lennox made available in May 2019. The E.P. This album is a companion piece to her album Now I Let the door open... art installation that was exhibited at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art.
